PupWatch

Privacy comes first.

Last updated: July 20, 2026

PupWatch turns two iPhones or iPads into a puppy monitor. No PupWatch account is required. PupWatch contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDK and does not record your monitoring session.

Camera and microphone

Puppy Station uses its camera and microphone while monitoring is active. The Monitor uses its microphone only for two-way talk. You control these permissions in iOS or iPadOS Settings.

Pairing service

To connect your devices over Wi-Fi or mobile data, the app sends a create or join request to the PupWatch pairing service. A short pairing code, room identifier and shared media-encryption key are stored for up to 24 hours. Role-specific connection tokens expire after 12 hours. These items are used only to establish and reconnect your monitoring session.

Live media

Video and audio use LiveKit/WebRTC with end-to-end media encryption. The PupWatch service relays the encrypted connection and does not record or intentionally retain video, audio, microphone content or screenshots.

Technical information

Standard network logs may process an IP address, request time and basic connection diagnostics for security and reliability. They do not contain your live video or audio. PupWatch does not use this information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Purchases

Apple handles subscriptions and payments. PupWatch reads the App Store entitlement needed to unlock Pro, but does not receive or store payment-card details.

Deletion and retention

PupWatch creates no cloud recording library. Pairing sessions expire automatically, and you can end an active connection from either device. Removing the app removes its local settings from that device.

Safety

PupWatch is an indicator tool and is not a safety or medical monitor. Always check your puppy directly when you are concerned.
